BOOKENDING SUMMER 2019 DAY 2: Summer Personified

In case you don’t know, Bookending Summer is one of the quarterly events, running under the umbrella term “Bookend Events”, aspiring to bring the book blogging community closer together! Bookending Summer has a vague theme of Ocean, Beach, Vacations, Contemporaries (you know…Summer), but you DO NOT need to stick to this theme at all! Hosted by Clo @ Book Dragons and Sam @ Fictionally Sam

You can find all rules, info and prompts on Clo’s post HERE.

Let’s jump right into the second prompt, hosted by Charvi @ Not Just Fiction  (1st-3rd July):
Summer Personified

Each fictional character is unique in their own way but there are some of those sweet and cheerful ones whose goodness reminds you of summer. Make a list of characters who are truly summer personified.

Alice Cullen –  Sam already mentioned this on her blog earlier today, so I’m just basically cosigning! Alice Cullen, Edward’s “little” sister, is a ball of sunshine, always down for a road trip or shopping. I’d love to hang out with her for just one day.
Simon Spier –  Mind you, I havent read all of the Simon-verse books by Becky Albertalli, but Simon himself is another ray of sunshine and happiness. Even when he’s down on his luck, he always looks on the bright side.

Xiomara’s best friend in The Poet X –  I for the life of me cannot remember Xiomara’s friend’s name, but she is so funny and joyous and lively! Her jokes and one-liners were so cute and made me laugh outloud.

Josie from Anomaly/Enigma –  Josie and her nerdy, goofy, Star-Wars-adoring, fangirling self is so much fun and adorable in book one. Book 2 was when her character was toned down, based on the dramatic events of Book 1, but she was still a fangirl at heart. That’s what I like about her; she knows when to fangirl and when to be serious.

Which characters scream sunshine and happiness and summer to you? Comment below!
