Happy birthday tier ranking of the most popular booktok books

happy birthday tier ranking

Let’s do a happy birthday tier ranking for my big day! It’s my birthday today!! πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸ₯°πŸ’•πŸŽ‚Now that I’m officially 31, I wanted to rank some of the most popular booktok books.

Heartsopper and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo are two books that i would love to experience again. Heartstopper I’d read 2-3 years ago and fell in love with Nick and Charlie’s relationship. The show on Netflix I loved even more. I can’t wait for season 3!! Evelyn Hugo made me cry buckets of tears by the time I finished reading. There’s no telling if that will be a book or movie in the near future, but I really hope so.

To be honest, I don’t know what this tier means 🀣 I’m guessing it means books that made you scream?! Either way, both Daisy Jones and the Six and Red White and Royal Blue were absolutely gut-wrenching and perfect at the same time. The Daisy Jones show on Amazon Prime was incredible. Riley Keough was perfect as Daisy, and her chemistry with Sam Claflin as Billy was electric! I loved hearing the music come to life in the show. It’s a shame that it only got one season; I’d love to explore these characters more.

RWRB‘s movie on Prime was really good too. Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine were perfect as Alex and Prince Henry! This book and all of its gay pride made me so happy to be an LGBT ally!

They Both Die at the End, Where the Crawdads Sing, and The Midnight Library were good but not good enough for me to remember what they’re about. I only read a few chapters of They Both Die at the End and I got bored lol so I didn’t finish it. Same thing with Where the Crawdads Sing; I was so bored!! The Midnight Library, I remember reading it and not liking it. 2 years ago, I wrote a DNF review on The Midnight Library; that should tell you how I felt about that book.

Malibu Rising, Six of Crows, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, and The Hating Game were all just…okay. Although, I only read some of Six of Crows because of the awesome Netflix adaptation, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo, also written by her. I’m still so sad that the show got cancelled after 2 seasons!! πŸ™

I saw The Hating Game movie like a year or two ago, and I thought that was good. Addie LaRue was an interesting read, even though I didn’t finish it. It was too slow for me.

I changed the tier name because I thought it’d be funny. But looking at this tier made me confused because I recognized none of these books. Some of them I’d heard of by name, or the cover, but I’d never read them before. There are too many book titles to name, so if you’re surprised I’ve never read these books before, there’s your answer. However, Shatter Me I have read maybe a chapter of, but I didn’t feel any type of way about it. *shrugs*

Yeahhhh no way in Hell am I actually choosing to read these. Fun fact: I won a signed copy of A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I gave it away because I knew I wasn’t going to read it.

These are some books I’ve seen in passing or have seen on social media. I don’t have the deep desire to read these books, but they’re cool to have on the tbr. They are books I’ll eventually get to.

Here’s my final ranking. Please don’t πŸ’€ me in the comments for my poor reading choices!
