I’m Back!!
I’m back from my two-month hiatus, and I feel good. I feel refreshed and ready to start writing again. I’m glad that I took some time off to just breathe and relax for a while. It gave me some time to get back into the work routine again.
Patreon Connections
Funnily enough, as soon as I left, a lot more opportunities kept hitting me up. I did a meetup with another Patreon creator for Patreon’s Creator Connections program. creators get matched with their peers for a 30 minute one-on-one virtual conversation. I got paired with Cave Marie for a second try (after the first match ghosted me). Marie was sooo sweet and funny and she’s a grad student like me, and we just got to talking about the world and people, and traveling, and our writing. Grad School/Work Updates
Another great opportunity was starting my new job as a library assistant for my grad school’s library. I hadn’t worked in a physical library since 2021, so I was pretty nervous starting off. But after orientation and my first few weeks on the job, I’ve been getting the groove of greeting people in person again. I’m glad to be servicing students and faculty in university library, as opposed to just everybody in a public one. It keeps me in perspective because I’m still in grad school.
Book 2 Update
My editor and I had worked on the editing process for 2 months, and I’ve been in revising since January. I hope to finalize everything within March and get closer to a release date by then. Honestly, what’s “taking so long” is trying to make sure I can get some song lyrics cleared. I don’t want anybody suing me lmaooo especially one of my favorite artists! (Guess who in the comments!) But other than that, Book 2 is going great. I haven’t had much desire to write more poetry since the new year started, but don’t worry. There’s always more writing in general from me.
Other than that, I’m glad to be back on Patreon and book blogging this year. What’s been going on with you guys lately? What have I missed? Tell me everything!
