Bookending Winter 2018 Day 12: Holly Jolly Mistletoe

It’s Day twelve of the Bookending Winter 2018 Event, created by Sam @ FictionallySam and Clo @ BookDragons. For more information on what the Christmas themed event is all about, visit my previous post HERE.

Today’s host is Julia @ Fable Hunter from December 11-14. The prompt of the day is:
Prompt Title: Holly Jolly Mistletoe
Explanation: What character couples would you want to see stuck under some mistletoe? (Can be enemies, friends, characters you wish would have been together and werenโ€™t, your favorite character couples)
I actually did a similar post back in February for Top Ten Tuesday’s Favorite Kisses segment, so some of those choices will be added to this post here:
5. Edward and Bella – Twilight Saga: I’ve always found their movie kisses so restrictive, like I know Edward had to hold himself back because he was this powerful, strong vampire. But when he kisses his love Bella, he’s also has this sweet, tender feeling to it. I don’t know, it’s just so cute! However, Bella doesn’t like to be the center of attention, so maybe they could do the mistletoe thing in private in their bedroom, with the mistletoe above them. Something more intimate than being in front of the family.

Magnus and Alec (aka MALEC) – Shadowhunters: Ahh, our good, old #Malec!! Magnus and Alec have been through a hell of a lot, and it shows beautifully through their kisses within the show. Matthew Daddario and Harry Shum Jr. have amazing chemistry together, and I can tell they really have a close brotherhood. Magnus loves to be the center of attention, so he wouldn’t have any issue to sharing the mistletoe with his shy, sweet strong boyfriend Alec.
Jamie and Claire – Outlander: Another power couple who have let time stand against them again and again, and still come back on the other side stronger than ever! Their kisses are more than casual, they have all the passion, desire, sex and more! If you watch the latest season of the show, Claire & Jamie have reunited after being separated for 20 years, and their love scenes have only gotten better, so I’d think a mistletoe scene would be a treat to see!

Jared and April – Discovering April: I know I talk about this book a lot (for years, actually!) but I still love it because of the friends-turned-lovers trope. Also, Jared and April’s kisses are to die for, so a mistletoe moment is needed.

Tommy and Annie – Nocturnal Meetings of the Misplaced: Tommy and Annie are a special kind of relationship that I didn’t know I needed until I saw them together while reading. Tommy is this daring, shy kid with a tough exterior; while Annie is a very sweet, smart, kind little girl. You’d think they wouldn’t work out because they are somewhat different, but in the end, they have a way of fitting. But anyway, their mistletoe moment would be really tender and sweet. (and have their friend Silence bug them about it later!)
