Bookending Winter 2018 Day 5: Audiobooks for the Sleigh!

It’s Day five of the Bookending Winter 2018 Event, created by Sam @ FictionallySam and Clo @ BookDragons. For more information on what the Christmas themed event is all about, visit my previous post HERE.

Today’s host is Imogen @ Imogen’s Typewriter from December 4-7. The prompt of the day is:

Prompt Title: Audiobooks for the Sleigh! | Explanation: Audiobook recommendations for Santa to listen to as he drives around delivering presents!

Keep in mind that I’m still new to the audiobook scene, so these audiobooks may not be the best ones, but they are at least good enough for me.

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng (narrator: Jennifer Lim) –  I’ve been listening to this audiobook and the story starts out slowly, but the narration makes up for it. It’s so good so far! Santa would like it.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (narrator: Mae Whitman) –  I’m on my reread for this book, and I decided to listen to the audiobook instead of the physical copies I have. And I like Mae Whitman as an actress, so this was the perfect chance to get back into the Shadowhunter world. Hopefully I’d hope to make Santa a Malec fan!

Shadowshaper by Daniel Jose Older (narrator: Anika Noni Rose) –  If Santa is into urban diverse antasy, he might be into Shadowshaper. It has everything; mystery, family heritage, family drama, art history, world-building, character development and more.

‘Talking as Fast as I Can: from Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls and Everything in Between’ by Lauren Graham (narrator: Lauren Graham) –  If Santa needs something funny, quick and easy, also a Gilmore Girls fan, then he’d love Lauren Graham describing her acting background and claim to fame.
