Journal Reread #1 // Rereading My First Journal from Sixth Grade!

So I’m starting yet another series on my blog when I go through my old journals from when I was younger, so I can have a better reflection on myself and my previous adventures.

The first journal I remember having was this Lisa Frank one from 2005, and it was originally black and white, so I had used felt pens and markers to color in the white parts. (I was a weird kid, y’all!)

I won’t explain each entry because there are some names and locations that are written in, but it is a bit jarring to reread them. I guess because I’m in such a different place in my life, that it’s hard to remember a time when I was so giddy and happy and joyful, almost carefree. Not that I’m not this way now, but I feel like it’s toned down now as opposed to when I was 11 3/4, almost 12 years old. It’s most likely because when you’re that young, you have no worries about anything except homework, friends, and boys. (I had my first crush on a guy whom I don’t even remember his name…lol).

It’s not that I miss that old life, but I mostly miss my perspective on it.

So yeah, that’s pretty much it from this first journal reread. Let me know if you guys want to see my other journals from my childhood and teen years in the comments below!

Do you have a journal? Do you reread your old journals?
