#BESUMMER19 BOOKENDING SUMMER DAY 25: I had this summer fling

In case you don’t know, Bookending Summer is one of the quarterly events, running under the umbrella term “Bookend Events”, aspiring to bring the book blogging community closer together! Bookending Summer has a vague theme of Ocean, Beach, Vacations, Contemporaries (you know…Summer), but you DO NOT need to stick to this theme at all! “Well I had this Summer Fling…”
As it is mine and bf’s 5th anniversary I thought about summer flings that turn into romance. Who are your top 5’s OTP? This can be from TV Shows and books!

Happy anniversary to Amy and her bf!! Hope you two are very happy together! 💖💖

Edward & Bella (Twilight)-  My first and foremost. My forever couple!! I know they have their problematic tendencies (both together and separate) but it’s just something about a vampire and a human that makes magic happen. 

Prince Henry of Wales and First Son Alex Claremont-Diaz (Red White and royal Blue)- I’m currently reading Red, White and Royal Blue and these two’s interactions are comedy gold!! The way their banter at this impossible feud they both have is hilarious and so endearing. Alex’s profile username for Prince Henry is HRH Prince Dickhead *poop emoji*. How more creative can you be for someone you’re supposed to hate? It’s also funny how Alex is pretty much the only one out of the two guys who hates Prince Henry. Henry doesn’t really have a problem with Alex; he has a problem with Alex’s problem with him! It’s unconventional at best, but it works for them. I can’t wait to read their turnaround that blossoms into love. 

Jamie and Claire (Outlander)-  Jamie and Claire have come a long way since season 1 of Outlander. They went from being strangers, to hating each other, to becoming friends, marrying each other for Claire’s security, actually falling in love, their 2-season long separation, 2 pregnancies, a miscarriage, a reunion, and Claire & Jamie’s daughter showing up in 1700s Scotland! If that doesn’t scream OTP, I don’t know what does!!

Xiomara and Aman (The Poet X)-  As short as their relationship was, I felt like Aman was the only person in Xio’s radar who had truly understood her. And that’s why Xio fell for him. It’s a shame that their relationship just ended because her strict religious mother found out. 

Sierra and Robbie (Shadowshaper)- These two were so sweet and cute but they also used their love for art to solve a magical mystery around their neighborhood. What a hell of a first date! 

Starr and Chris (The Hate U Give)-  Starr and Chris were probably the most matured out of all of these couples. Starr had gone through a horrible tragic situation, witnessed her closest friend murdered in the hands of a white cop, and Chris was so sweet and supportive through her grieving process. At times, he didn’t understand certain racial situations of some things, but when he did, he still stood by Starr and her journey with police brutality. I just love them so much!
