For those who don’t know what Top 5 Wednesday is, it’s a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.

It’s pretty self-explanatory!
5. Adam from If I Stay/Where She Went
I never finished the sequel to If I Stay because of Adam’s mopey ass character, so I’d dump him if he was my boyfriend. Glad that Mia had dumped him too in the sequel.
4. Gale from Mockingjay
I was team Gale during the period of when these books came out, but in reality, I would break up with him too, especially if he had taken part in killing my little sister.
3. Niven from This is Me
Niven is a straight up asshole in this book, not only for hating ASISTS (robotic companions), but for going out of his way to get violent towards one who was supposed to be his love interest’s best friends. You would have to read the whole book to understand, but just know that Niven is a straight-up-asshole. Periodt.
2. Christian Grey from Fifty Shades of Grey
I was going to make this guy number one, but then I went and found someone who is much worse than Mr. Grey. But in essence, Mr. Grey is nothing short of an asshole. I’m not into the whole story in general, in fact I can’t stand it, but Christian’s antics towards Ana are appalling, to say the least. I’d dump him in a heartbeat.
1. Margot from Paper Towns
I felt turned off by this book and couldn’t finish it because of Margot’s treatment towards her supposed friend, Q. Q had a huge crush on her, and I just couldn’t find anything appealing by her. She knew how much Q had adored her, but still kept up with the mystery-act of trying to get him to find her…and for what? No point. I didn’t like her two-timing him.
This challenge was hard for me because I had to dig deep into my archives and find more asshole-ish male characters (because I know everyone and their mom are going to put Edward Cullen and I’m so not here for that!!). But I think this was a good enough list.
