#T5W TOP 5 WEDNESDAY: Witchiest Witches of All Time!

Hey guys! This is a new feature I joined from Goodreads’ Top 5 Wednesdays, a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.

Created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey and now hosted by Samantha from ThoughtsonTomes, this week’s entry describes the top 5 books featuring witches. This prompt is in light of the Halloween season, but since I don’t celebrate the holiday, I’ll still add my fave witches!

4. Matilda – Matilda by Roald Dahl – She’s a Witch?!Am I the only one who didn’t think Matilda was a witch? I thought she was just a telekinetic or special little girl. Wow! Although I’ve never read the book, I watch the movie all the time, and I still think it’s the cutest ever!

3. Magnus Bane – City of Bones by Cassandra ClareI haven’t read these books in a long while, but I do remember how extensive the Shadowhunter world is. Filled with witches, warlocks, faeries, and more! Their warlocks focus more about politics than power, which is interesting.

2. Lena Duchannes – Beautiful Creatures by Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia – Forgot about “Castors”I totally forgot about this series having witches, what they call castors. Lena Duchannes is the most powerful castor in her family because when she turns 16, she gets the choice to be either dark or light. SPOILER ALERT: she chooses to be both and claim herself! Awesome!

1. Hermoine Granger – Brightest Witch of Her Age! Do I even need a reason as to why Hermione is my girl?! Not only is the brightest witch of her year, but she relies on her books and cleverness to get ahead. Sure, she has her winning personality, but it’s her sheer, unapologetic intelligence that almost doesn’t fail her. She can whip out a spell faster than The Chosen One ever could!

Who are some of your favorite witchiest witches? Comment below!
