#BookBloggerHop – October 6-12: Have I Ever Read FRANKENSTEIN or DRACULA?!

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, I relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer:

Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Marry Shelley’s Frankenstein are both considered classics. Have you ever read either of them?

My Answer

I’ve never read either Frankenstein or Dracula, not even in grade school. I didn’t get into vampire culture until Twilight, to be honest! I used to be quite scared of them until Edward Cullen’s sexy vampire self walked into my reading life back in 2006 lol. I’d thought vampires were supposed to be bad and no-good scary creatures during Halloween, and that was it. Authors like Stephenie Meyer helped spread a different trend for vampires. Vamps like Dracula and Frankenstein are still quite freakish for me, though. Plus, I’m not a fan of hardcore horror, so I don’t think either books would be interesting for me to read.

I ask this question back to you guys. Have you read Frankenstein or Dracula? Which of the two do you like the most? Leave comments below.
