Christmas 2018, Grandma’s 90th Birthday Party, and So Much More | OCTOBER/NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2018 WRAP-UP

Happy New Year 2019! I hope you guys had a fun and safe New Year’s Day. I can’t believe how fast 2018 flew by. Although I’m kind of sad to see 2018 end, I’m ready to make 2019 the best year ever!

Back at it again with the wrap-ups!! Since I haven’t done one of these in a very long time, since last September, I’m just going to combine October, November and December 2018 into a huge wrap-up.

October 2018
I spent the end of the month with my family to visit my grandmother for her 90th birthday in Florida. It was good to see her again; I’d hadn’t seen her since Christmas 2017.

November 2018
November was probably my worst month because I had realized I couldn’t spend Thanksgiving with my family in Texas this year. I had to stay home because of work and my mom had to go to visit my sister and her family in Texas. I was mostly so upset that I couldn’t see my youngest baby niece for a second time; I had only seen her once right after she was born. However as shitty as it was to stay in New Jersey, I did enjoy spending Thanksgiving with my cousins in the area. I’m glad they let me kick it with them last minute.

December 2018
December was a slow month for me, reading-wise. I did however, finish my Goodreads Reading Challenge of 15 books by surpassing to 19, which I’m very happy about! I also participated in Bookending Winter 2018, a blogging winter event created by Sam @ FictionallySam and Clo @ BookDragons. I’m proud that I’d been able to post a new post everyday in December. Back when I’d hardly posted for two months, and out comes up this crazy-new event done by my good buddy Clo and Sam, too. According to Clo, the Spring version of the same event will happen in April 2019, but I’m just glad it happened so I can reminisce now.

yeah there’s Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter so there’s 4 events in total in a year hehe

hehe Bookending Spring 2019 – April is happening first but thanks so much for taking part!

Christmas was good, too. I went over to my cousin’s place (the same place I’d spent Thanksgiving!) and saw my younger 5 year old twin cousins.

In terms of reading, I started a lot of books on Scribd, but I haven’t finished them in December; I had finished them earlier in the year, for which I’m very proud of myself. I’d read 19 books in 2018, surpassing my 15-book goal. So for 2019, I decided to raise my reading goal to 20.
