Bookending Winter 2018 Day 31: Ring in the New Year!

πŸŽ‰πŸ’—πŸ’₯😍 Happy New Year’s Eve!! πŸŽ‰πŸ’—πŸ’₯😍

This is the last post for this amazing event, and I’m so sad that today is the last day. I’ve had so much fun creating new prompts and posts; to be honest, this event gave me the reason to get up and be more creative with my writing. So thank you to Sam and Clo for creating this winter event, and I hope they do this again next year.

It’s Day 31 of the Bookending Winter 2018 Event, created by Sam @ FictionallySam and Clo @ BookDragons. For more information on what the Christmas themed event is all about, visit my previous post HERE.

My good buddy Sophia @ Bookwyrming Thoughts is hosting this week, from December 29-31, the last week of this winter event. Her prompt of the day is:

Prompt Title: Ring in the New Year!
Explanation – Tell us about your goals, dreams, aspirations for 2019! What are you hoping for next year?

Getting my damn permit/license/car within one year –  I have been trying for the past 5-6 years to get my damn license and I’ve just never gotten it. I know I have to, but at the same time, it was always something holding me back, like work, school, laziness, etc. But since my mom is possibly planning to move next year, with me to Texas, she kind of put me on an ultimatum to freaking-finally get my damn license over with. Not to mention, she’s sick of driving me everywhere. But, I know I have to. I just have to want it.

Starting my own publishing cooperative with my best friend –  You’ve heard it here first, folks! One of my best friends Angela and I are starting our own publishing cooperative. No official name yet, but this is a big step, and I’m both terrified and excited for it because we both love books, reading, YA books and the whole thing. But we know next to nothing about the industry, business and everything in between. I only have a small understanding from when I interned at Entangled Publishing earlier this year, but even that’s not enough to get into a whole business, especially with your best friend. But I am very excited for things to pop off in 2019!

Reading 20 books in 2019 –  I’m so proud of myself and my reading goal of 15 books this year! I read 19 books this year from my Goodreads challenge. Now for 2019, let’s make it to 20 books in one year. It’s a test, it’ll be a challenge, but if I got to 19 by surpassing 15, then I can push it to 20. Granted, I DNF-ed a lot so they technically shouldn’t be 19, but I added them dammit!! lol I’m still proud of how much I’d read with my hefty work schedule.

(Maybe) Going back to school??? –  This goes back into my second goal of running my publishing coop with my friend; maybe since I don’t know that much about publishing as a business as opposed to a fan, reader, or even a blogger. Maybe going back to school for my MA (Master’s degree) for either business or publishing will give me a sense of purpose for what I want to do for my own publication coop.

What are some of your goals for 2019? Comment below!

Thanks for reading!
