My 25th Birthday, Weekly Prompts, Discussions and More | MARCH 2018 WRAP-UP

In Real Life (IRL)

I celebrated my 25th birthday last month! On the official day, I didn’t do much of anything, but during the weekend, I spent it with both my mom and my best friends, Kim and Tracy, on different occasions. I’m lucky enough to be able to share my big birthday with so many loved ones. I still can’t believe I’m 25, but I’m glad I made it this far!

I also made a list about 25 Lessons Learned in 25 Years as a present to myself.

BLOG POSTS

Weekly Prompts
Book Blogger Hop – Here are all of my BBH posts from this month. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Top 5 WednesdayI didn’t do many T5W posts this month, but I did participate in some. Most were in conjunction with the 2018 Booktube SFF Awards Babble.

Top Ten Tuesday – Original host Jamie from Broke and Bookish brought it back for awhile one last time, before ending her blog as a whole and passing the torch to Lana from That Artsy Reader Girl to continue the series.

DOWN THE TBRMost of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well thats going to change!

Book Reviews and Blog Tours, Discussions

I finally read and reviewed The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon from Overdrive! I wrote a mini-review instead of a long review because I had to return the ebook to Overdrive. Nicola even Liked my featured photo on Instagram!

I participated in Xpresso Book Tours’ blog tour for Everything He Wants by Lisa Hughey. I mostly did it for the interracial romance storyline.

I also took part in Xpresso Book Tours’ review/spotlight tour for Queen of Corona by Esterhazy. I was supposed to do a review tour post, but I didn’t finish the book in time, so I did a spotlight instead.

My latest discussion post on my reading pressures got a lot of attention, thanks to you guys! It caught a little more attention from Sheila of She’s Going Book Crazy who featured me in her Thursday Blog Trot post. Like I’d said in my update, I’m so happy that it’s gotten the attention it has. Even if it’s just one person or a few people, moments like this make me feel like I have a purpose in my writing.
