Books to Read Before 2019 | #T5W TOP 5 WEDNESDAY

For those who don’t know what Top 5 Wednesday is, it’s a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.

Created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey and now hosted by Samantha from ThoughtsonTomes, this week’s entry describes our top 5 books I want to read before 2019.

November 14th: Books You Want to Read Before 2019–Our Goodreads goals are quickly closing in. What are you prioritizing for the end of the year?

5. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid –  I finally joined the book subscribtion service Scribd**, which allows you access to a huge supply of books, audiobooks, newspaper articles, journals, sheet music and more for $8.99 a month (with free month subscriptions for every friend you invite). So with a new access to books, allows me to read more down my TBR, which includes books like The Seven Husbands; I originally didn’t want to read this because of how scandalous it sounded, but now that it’s close to the end of the year, I’ll just say “F**k it” and read all I can!

**By the way, I’m not sponsored by Scribd to include my mention of the service; I’m just explaining my opinions about it.
4. Girl Boy Girl: How I Became JT Leroy by Savannah Knoop –  NOO You’re going to listen to an audiobook because your favorite actress is narrating it!!! But seriously, not only is Kristen Stewart narrating the audio, but she’s also starring in the movie adaption with Laura Dern, which I’m excited about. The book otherwise, I don’t know too much about, other than a woman who created a character for herself and the aftermath of being discovered.

3. The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth –  I said this before in my last T5W post, but I’d still like to get to this book before I see the movie sometime this year.

2. Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire –  I just found this on Scribd, and I’m glad I found it, although it’s not high on my list. I hope it’s as good as people have said it is.

1. The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison –  I don’t have a lot of black reads on my TBR in general, but this one has stuck out to me all year. Toni Morrison is a staple in African American literature, so it’ll be good to get into her books before 2019.

What are some books you need to get to before 2019? Comment below!
