#BOOKBLOGGERHOP (May 25-31): Books I Read by Myself as a Child

I haven’t done this prompt in awhile, so I thought to bring it back before I go on vacation to my niece’s high school graduation in Texas next week. This week’s question revolves around books I remember reading by myself for the first time.

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, I relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question submitted by LaLa @ LaLa in the Library:
Do you remember the first book you read by yourself?

My Answer:
I feel like with me being a reader, I should remember the first book I’ve ever read by myself. However, I don’t remember specifically the first book I’ve ever read on my own, without my parents reading to me. I do remember reading many book series like Baby-Sitters Club, Boxcar Children, Nancy Drew, Animorphs, and the first Harry Potter book, as a child, and those books fueled me to read more on my own.
Which books do you remember reading by yourself for the first time? Comment below!
