Heartstopper graphic novel series by Alice Oseman was so cute and funny! I’ve only read volumes 1-3. But the love story between Charlie, a “highly-strung, openly gay over-thinker,” and Nick, a “cheerful, soft-hearted rugby player,” is so sweet and I love their easy friendship. They both have backgrounds where you’d think they’d only be friends, but then they have moments that take your breath away when they converse.

The graphic novels were easy to get through and the illustrations were so detailed. I wish there were versions that were in color and not just black & white, but that’s okay. This series was adorable, and I can’t wait for Volume 4.
