Note: I was supposed to finish this on Christmas Eve, but I got my laptop taken by my evil nieces and I haven’t touched it since. So yes, this is late, but just go with it for now.
Merry Christmas Eve!! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and sane from this whole year. Bookending Winter is almost a week from being over, and it’s already coming closer to the end of the year. Which is even more crazy! But while we’re here, let’s enjoy the rest of the holiday season.

Prompt Title: Under the Mistletoe
Prompt Explanation: Let’s talk about OTPs!! Who are your faves? Who would you split up? And who aren’t together, but if you were at a party with them you’d lure them under the mistletoe to make sure they kissed?
I haven’t read much of With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo recently, but I hope that Emoni and her friend Malachi end up together. Emoni is always super dedicated and serious all the time, especially since she has school, work and a baby girl to take care of. Malachi’s infectious, silly, positive personality is very charming and cute; they feed off of each other’s energy, and it’s so nice. Plus they cook together in the same culinary class, which is sweet to see.
I need these two to break-up because all they do is fight!! Harper is stubborn as a mule and doesn’t want to listen to nobody other than herself; and Rhen is too aggressive and old-fashioned. The both of them turned me off from reading the rest of the Beauty and the Beast retelling, and I love that story. If they don’t get their acts together and break-up, then I don’t know what I’ll do.
I love Matthew, I love Diana, I love Matthew & Diana, I love them both so much! I watced the tv show last year, fell in love with it, am reading the book now, re-watched the show again and I’m now even deeper in love with the story. Bishmont are perfect for each other; they are the perfect combination of magic, strength, love, and courage. Who knew a vampire and a witch would turn me on so much?!
These three fools either need to break-up or become a polygamous couple at this point, because their back and forth business is getting on my nerves! Granted, Roy has been in jail for 5-6 years, which gave Celestial and Andre some time for themselves. Which also should have made Celestial divorce Roy if she was going to be with her best friend. The whole thing is just crazy and messy, and I’m over it.
I just started reading this one, so my opinion of Lei and Wren so far is uncertain at the moment. Lei is so shy and quiet, while Wren hates everybody. Lei has a conviction to find out more about her mother, while Wren’s story is unknown at this point. I spoiled myself by searching fan-made art of the two girls on Google, so I already know they end up together, but how? And why? We’ll see when I read more.
