I received my first Spearcraft Book Box, with January 2018’s theme: Cursed Kingdoms.
I was excited about this box, not only because this is the first time I ordered from Spearcraft, but this theme centers around our favorite classic fairytales, like Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Once Upon a Time, and Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor.
The box has not one but two featured books: the first book is a Beauty and the Beast retelling (no, it’s not a Sarah J. Maas book!); and the second is a paperback fantasy novel. Here are some of my favorite items from the box.
Spoiler Card/Art Card by artist Dakota Blackart – I thought this spoiler card was really cute and well-drawn. Dakota did a great job decorating this card.
Snow White Cursed Poison Apple necklace – I’ve been wearing this necklace for a few days and I’ve gotten some compliments on it already. It’s so pretty and sparkles in the sun. I love it so much!
Once Upon a Time tote bag by Spearcraft Book Box – I haven’t watched OUAT in awhile, but I love this tote bag, and I can’t wait to use it for my new books so I won’t have to stuff them in my regular bag for work.
Exclusive design Enchanted rose themed candle by Dio Candle Co. – This candle smells so goodand has sparkles in the actual candle!
Hardcover edition of A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer, signed bookplate and letter – I’m not one for retellings usually, but in this Beauty and the Beast retelling, the main character has cerebral palsy, so I’m really excited to get into how this story is going to be different from the original.
*Bonus – second book – Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers, book 1 of His Fair Assassin Trilogy – I’m not that excited for another assassin book, but who knows what could happen with this one? Maybe I might like it when I get into it…

- Exclusive Enchanted Rose PopSocket with a car-mount – Which I think is really cool, considering I already have a PopSocket, so I’ll use this new one incase my personal one runs out of adhesive.
- Author swag from authors Teresa J. Martin and Addy McMill, for their fantasy novel Blackwoods the Beginning
- Strange the Dreamer magnet
