#T5W TOP 5 WEDNESDAY: Books for Hufflepuffs!!

Hey guys! This is a new feature I joined from Goodreads’ Top 5 Wednesdays, a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.

Created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey and now hosted by Samantha from ThoughtsonTomes, this week’s entry describes the top 5 books that best represent our Hogwarts House.

This idea was a little tough for me, considering that when I first took the Pottermore Sorting Hat test, I got sorted into Ravenclaw, which I loved. But then when the test got updated, I was sorted into Hufflepuff, which was….interesting. I don’t know a lot about them besides them being fiercely loyal, patient, kind, hard-working, and dedicated. Oh, and Cedric Diggory is (was?) in the house too, so that’s a bonus!

But anyway, here are five books that I think best represent Hufflepuffs!

5. The Hunger Games – While Katniss wasn’t the best character to get along with, she was certainly brave and loyal enough to take her sister’s place in the Reaping in Book 1.

4. The Mortal Instruments – Clary was determined to help find her mother, even though she didn’t understand the Shadowhunter world herself. The books overall convey dedication, strength, and loyalty.

3. The Fault in Our Stars – I’d like to think Augustus Waters would fall into Hufflepuff because of his patience with Hazel Grace. He knew he liked her, but he didn’t push her to fall in love with him until she was ready.

2. Discovering April – Same thing with Jared from this book. He was so patient and kind and sweet to his girlfriend April, that he never pushed her into falling for him. Instead, he helped her out when she needed a friend, someone to confide in first, before she knew that she wanted to be with him.

1. Still Alice – Alice Howland’s youngest daughter Lydia was pretty much the only one who dropped everything in her own life to help her mother with Alzheimer’s. Lydia was just starting her theater acting career, but she knew that she needed to go back home and take care of her mother, even though they didn’t agree with her lifestyle.
