Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from books and talk about some other things you’ve been obsessed with. These all don’t have to be in the same category. Mix it up! What TV shows have you been enjoying, makeup you’ve been wearing, food you’ve been eating, etc.??
5. Current Favorite Artist:
Alessia Cara
I’ve been rocking Alessia’s debut album, Know-It-All, for months now, since her first single “Here” came out back in 2015, and I love this girl so much. Between her bluesy, jazzy vocals mixed with an old-school pop/R&B/acoustic sound, her laid-back tomboy style, her chilled, relatable personality, I find myself within her vibe and her music. Most of her lyrics describe being an introvert at a party, being comfortable with your own intuition, and stepping outside of those four pink walls into something great. I see so much of myself in her, both when I was her age of 20, and today at 23. It will be interesting to see her career take off.
4. Makeup:
Naked 2
I’ve been using Naked 2 for awhile now, and it’s so fun decorating my face with all these different shades and colors. Youtube videos help a lot with what I don’t know, too.
3. Youtube:
TheSkorpionShow
Kevin Simmons and Makael McClendon host this Youtube show, called TheSkorpionShow, and I’ve been watching them since 2011, I believe. And their videos have gotten me through some tough times, both for their comedy and real-talk videos. They’re so funny and so unique to the Youtube scene, and I hope they take their show to TV or Netflix someday. I am clearly obsessed with them, because I have a full playlist of favorite videos from their show!!
2. Food:

Now, I’m not a foodie or anything, but I love to eat, and when I eat, I eat!! Chipotle has been my new favorite Mexican place; the nachos, the tacos, the meats, the cheeses, the drinks! I havent tried their burritos yet, but I love their tacos. Now I’m hungry lol…
1. IPhone Game:
Angry Birds POP!
I’ve been playing this game mostly while I’m waiting for my ride after work, but I somehow find it so relaxing to push and pop bubbles and watch birds go at it on different levels. It’s so weird and so much fun!!
