For those who don’t know what Top 5 Wednesday is, it’s a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.
Created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey and now hosted by Samantha from ThoughtsonTomes, this week’s entry describes the top 5 emerald colors. π
May 22nd: Emerald Covers— May’s birthstone is emerald so talk about those emerald covers. Not just green. EMERALD.
Eliza and Her Monsters – While this cover isn’t completely emerald, I love the splatters of paint and paper mache forms in her hands make the cover very beautiful.
The Shape of Water – I’ve never read the book, I’ve only seen the movie, but this cover is very intimate and gorgeous! The blue and green of the ocean with the characters deep below make the cover look stunning.
Of Fire and Stars – Same with this book here, only the gold title standing out against the green background. I also love how the sky on the cover looks like feathers in the night sky.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – This cover isn’t really emerald; it’s more of a deep green type of color. But to be honest, I couldn’t find any more emerald covers lol. And this cover is just so pleasant and mysterious at the same time.
A Thousand Pieces of You – Another cover that’s not technically emerald, but it’s still beautiful with the green, gold, yellow, orange, pink underneath that showcases the other city. Just gorgeous use of color!!
