TOP 5 Summer Reads for Fun in the Sun | TOP 5 TUESDAY

I thought I’d try something different for Tuesdays, since I haven’t done Top Ten Tuesday in awhile. I’ve always felt somewhat guilty for not being able to come up with 10 books per prompt post, so I saw Top 5 Tuesday, hosted by Bionic BookWorm. I think this prompt will be easier for me, as someone who doesn’t read that often anymore. It’s less of a struggle to come up with 5, as opposed to 10.

However, if a T5T post isn’t up my alley, I’ll gladly return to a TTT post for the week. Just to switch it up!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme where I explore different topics. If you are interested in participating I would love to have you! Here is a list of my Upcoming Topics in July – please remember to ping back a specific post of mine so I get a notification and I will add you to the participants list!

This week’s first topic: Top 5 summer time reads!

4. Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham (audiobook) –  I just finished my first audiobook, and this was a really cute, charming, funny, quick read. I love Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls, so listening to this in her voice helped bring her story together.

3. The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon –  This was a bit of a dramatic read, but too dramatic that it’s not possible to read through. Plus, I’m so here for the POC/black/Asian representation!

2. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli –  I haven’t finished this one, but from what I’ve read, it’s so funny and quirky and adorable so far!

1. Nocturnal Meetings of the Misplaced by R.J. Garcia –  Another drama I’m in the middle of, but the character development and friendship between the characters is refreshing and easy to get into.

It’s only my first week, and I already can’t come up with 5 books, just 4!! Oh well. Until next time!
