As many of you know, April and May have been extremely busy months for me. So much so that I haven’t even been able to devote the time to reading, books, T5W, etc like I usually do. As such, and as suggested by quite a few people on twitter, this month is going to be Top 5 Wednesday Rewind Month! Have some topics you missed or that happened before you joined the Top 5 Wednesday family? Now is the time to do them!

This week is a throwback to July 2017’s topic: Series that got Better.
July 26th: Series That Got Better — We’ve talked about series that went downhill with each book, but talk about series that are worth pushing through the first (or first few…) books to get to the good stuff!
4. Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead – When I’d started reading VA, I thought it was pretty cheesy and cute and corny, but the later books get more intense an dramatic, especially for Rose and Dimitri’s relationship. Also for Rose and Lissa’s strong bond and friendship.
3. Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare – I liked the first 3 books from TMI, but the future books were more interesting and delved into religion, LGBT rights, power vs. love, and more. It’s not just Angels vs. Demons.
2. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins – THG went from being a simple dystopian society drama story in book one, to a revolution by book three. That’s pretty much all you need to know!
1. Schrodinger’s Consortium Duology by Tonya Kuper – Even though this is a duology, book two got more dramatic and intense than book one. Anomaly was the fun, geeky, nerdy, sci-fi novel, while Enigma was more serious and took things into a bigger perspective, not just in their world, but for mental illness (anxiety). Both books have a special place in my heart.
