Hey guys! This is a new feature I joined from Goodreads’ Top 5 Wednesdays, a weekly book group about our top five favorite things in the middle of the week.
Created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey and now hosted by Samantha from ThoughtsonTomes, this week’s entry describes the top 5 favorite books that need sequels:
Standalones that you wish had a sequel or the last book in the series that you wish wasn’t the last.
I feel like this book needs a sequel because I need to know how Cinnia and her alien bf Kasen live on a new way of life amongst the humans. I also would like to know who’s son the little boy Zarion was hugging at the end of book one. And what did Jasiri mean by “it’s time to go home . It’s time to see your wife again.” Who is Zarion’s wife? Is it Cinnia? Is it one of her friends? I need to know, Mia!!
Ok so it seems like Elizabeth Stacey has dropped off the face of the earth after this book came out. She’s hardly on social media, and her author profile on Goodreads hasn’t updated since 2014. I’m not saying that she’s missing, but it would be nice if she showed up, if only to write and release the second book. It’s almost insulting that she just left us hanging with a note on her acknowledgement page on book one: “we are working hard to finish Restoration, which will be out early 2015” but it’s now 2016. Where is book two? What happened to Dalton, McKenna and Millie? Are they alright? Are they safe? Did Dalton and McKenna fall for each other after she and Millie were rescued from Vince? We need to know!!
I would love to see what happens to Madeline and Damascus, now that Madeline went from being a Choir to a Hunter. Also, I’d love to see how Madeline adapts and adjusts to becoming a Hunter with her man, now that they can finally be together. Gracie Madison wrote on her author’s note in book one that the sequel would come in spring 2015. The title, Divine Interlude, already has a summary, but the book hasn’t come out? Such torture!!!
I’m only naming three because I don’t know any other books from my Goodreads list that need sequels. And at the same time, all of the other books are sequels that have them already.
But if you have a list of 5 books that need sequels, let me know! I’d love to hear them.
**Heads up: this is my last T5W before I go on vacation, so if I don’t update for next week’s list post, then that’s why. But I hope to, because I enjoy doing these list posts and sharing what I love about my favorite books.
