I’ve found my creativity a bit stifled, like I was holding myself back from my own writing. I kept writing material that I’d thought would be popular, or would at least get my subscriber count up. Neither of which have happened, and I thought maybe there was something wrong with me. But then, something in me snapped; I don’t know if it was lockdown-brain activated, or therapy, or something else entirely, but something affected me to the point of where I knew I needed to give this a shot.
It’ll also throw away this notion that you need to be a superstar with millions of subscribers already within your own platform in order to use Patreon, GoFundMe, Kickstarter, and other crowdfunding sites. Most of the people I’ve seen use Patreon was Youtubers who needed an extra source of income because the website was acting up with their money. However, I also noticed that those same Youtubers don’t have the same amount of patrons as YT subscribers, which was interesting. But then again, not everyone can afford Patreon.
